Monday, August 31st, is the final day of Marching Band Camp at Rutgers University, and the Marching Scarlet Knights have opened the rehearsal to show off everything they've worked on. Anyone interested in attending is welcomed, and encouraged, to be there. It would be great to sit together as a Holmdel contingency, so if you'll be going, please complete the form below so we can coordinate our group to meet at 6:15pm there, and sit together. This is not a mandatory event, and this is not a school sponsored event - this is just an opportunity to see a collegiate level band's version of camp, and be wowed by their discipline, size and sound. Use the link in the red bar below to register.

08.22.26 - Pep Band Camp Week was full of hard work and high energy. The days started indoors with sectional work, full ensemble rehearsals, and some time in the gym to work on moving feet to the beat. In the afternoons, we accomplished putting most of the show on the field and the halftime show is looking and sounding really great. We are very grateful to Mr. Jeffrey Cook of the Dept. of Music & Theatre Arts, and Director of the Pep Band at Monmouth University; he spent three full days with our students to help develop technique and musicality. We also are happy to welcome Mr. Alek Duriske, a graduate student and former Percussion Captain at Monmouth University; his dedicated time and efforts with our drumline made such an impact this week and we know the season will be even stronger than before.
While camp ended on Thursday, 8/20, rehearsals begin next week, with the dress rehearsal on Wednesday, 8/26, from 9 - 12am and the first game on Thursday, 8/27. Please check the calendar for specific times and locations, as our season is fully underway!
Thank you to the students who were able to volunteer at the HFA Pep Rally to kickoff the youth football and cheer season at Roggy Field. The band sounded great and the crowd loved the live music - the youth cheer and football teams were especially excited for the support and we hope to be able to offer them more support throughout their season.
8.10.26 - The Pep Band Student Leadership Team was announced at the 7/27 Kick-Off meeting. Congratulations to the Section Leaders and Music Librarians, who will all work together with the Drum Majors and Staff to bring organization, mentorship and success to the program. There is a PBSLT meeting on Thursday, 8/13, from 12:30 - 3:30 to do some band camp preparation and leadership training. Good luck this season, and thanks for all the great work you're going to do!
7.28.26 - Thanks to all the students and parents who were able to attend the Kick-Off meeting and get a first-look at all the great plans for the Pep Band this year. For anyone who was unable to join, you were missed! Click on the image to view the slides from the meeting.
